Eligibility Details

Essential Educational Qualifications:

• Intermediate (10+2) examination with Biology group from the Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Uttar Pradesh, or an equivalent examination recognized by the Government.

• A two-year Livestock Extension Diploma course from a recognized Veterinary University or Veterinary College established by law.

• Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script.

PET Eligibility

• Only candidates who possess the required essential qualifications for the advertised post and have appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025) are eligible to apply online for the Livestock Extension Officer Main Examination (Main Exam Code/Adt. No.-2025/17).

• Candidates must have been issued a valid score card for PET-2025 by the Commission.

• Shortlisting of candidates for the main examination will be carried out strictly in order of merit based on their normalized scores in PET-2025.

• Only those candidates who are successfully shortlisted will be granted the opportunity to participate in the main examination.

• Candidates who obtained a zero, or less than zero/negative actual (absolute) or normalized score in PET-2025 will not be shortlisted for the main examination.  

Preferred (Adhimani) Qualifications :

• Minimum of 2 years of service in the Territorial Army.

• Possession of an NCC "B" Certificate.

• 15 years of continuous active service as a Veterinary Dresser Class-1 and Class-2 in the Remount Veterinary Corps, along with passing the High School examination from the Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Uttar Pradesh, with Science or Agriculture as a subject, or an equivalent recognized examination.

How to Apply?

• Step 1 - Visit Website : Access the official UPSSSC website at upsssc.gov.in to begin the application process.
• Step 2 - Locate Advertisement : Go to the homepage, navigate to the Live Advertisement Segment, and click on the relevant advertisement for the Livestock Extension Officer Main Exam.
• Step 3 - Authenticate via PET : Log in using your Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025) registration number and verify your identity through the OTP sent to your registered mobile number or email.
• Step 4 - Review Pre-filled Data : Check your pre-populated personal details imported from PET-2025, including your name, parents' names, domicile, category, gender, and contact info.
• Step 5 - Select Posts : Choose the specific post or department from the displayed list to register your candidacy.
• Step 6 - Enter Educational Details : Select "Yes" for possessing the required educational qualifications, and enter details such as your board, passing year, certificate or roll number, and marks.
• Step 7 - Check Photo and Signature : View your pre-loaded photograph and signature from PET-2025 (which cannot be modified) and click continue.
• Step 8 - Update Other Details : Fill in or verify details regarding preferred (adhimani) qualifications and check your permanent and correspondence addresses.
• Step 9 - Submit Declaration : Read the declaration carefully, check all confirmation boxes, enter the verification code, and click "Save and Submit".
• Step 10 - Pay Application Fee : Pay the required online processing fee using Net Banking, UPI, Credit Card, Debit Card, or SBI e-Chalan.
• Step 11 - Verify Transaction : Use the "Update Your Transaction ID by Double Verification" option on the homepage if your payment status is pending or reconciliation is needed.
• Step 12 - Print Application Form : Download and print a hard copy of the final submitted application form and payment receipt for your records and future document verification.

Selection Process

• Stage 1 - Preliminary Examination : Appear for the objective-type screening test consisting of multiple-choice questions to shortlist candidates for the next phase.
• Stage 2 - Main Examination : Qualify and appear for the comprehensive written examination (comprising 100 questions for 100 marks across subject knowledge, computer skills, and Uttar Pradesh general knowledge) to evaluate deeper domain expertise.
• Stage 3 - Document Verification : Present all original academic certificates, category proofs, and identity documents for final authentication by the commission.
• Stage 4 - Final Merit List : Secure a position on the ultimate merit list compiled based on aggregate performance in the main examination.
