Educational Qualification

1. For Classes 1 to 5 (Intermediate Trained Assistant Acharya)

Candidates must have passed Intermediate (+2) or equivalent with required marks, alongside a professional teaching diploma and a Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) :

• Academic & Professional :

  • +2 Intermediate with at least 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). (Relaxed to 45% marks for specific 2007–2009 batches as per NCTE norms).

  • OR +2 Intermediate with 50% marks + 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

  • OR +2 Intermediate with 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

  • OR Graduation + 2-year D.El.Ed.

• TET Requirement : Must have passed JTET (Class 1 to 5). (Candidates from Jharkhand with CTET or a neighboring state’s TET are also eligible to apply, provided they pass JTET within 3 years of appointment).

2. For Classes 6 to 8 (Graduate Trained Assistant Acharya)

Candidates must hold a Graduation degree in the relevant discipline, a recognized teacher training degree, and the appropriate upper-primary TET:

• A. Mathematics & Science Teachers :

  • Graduation : Degree in Science, Engineering, Technology, Agriculture, or Mathematics. Must have studied at least two subjects out of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, or Zoology/Biology at the 10+2 level.

  • Professional & TET : B.Ed, 4-year B.Sc.Ed, or D.El.Ed as per rules, along with JTET/CTET (Class 6 to 8).

• B. Social Science Teachers :

  • Graduation : Degree in Arts, Humanities, Social Science, Commerce, or Management.

  • Professional & TET : B.Ed, 4-year B.A.Ed, or D.El.Ed as per rules, along with JTET/CTET (Class 6 to 8).

• C. Language Teachers :

  • Graduation : Graduation with one of the recognized regional/modern Indian languages (Hindi, English, Urdu, Santhali, Bengali, Mundari, Ho, Kharia, Kudukh, Kurmali, Khortha, Nagpuri, Panchpargania, Odia, or Sanskrit) as a subject.

  • Professional & TET : B.Ed or equivalent teacher training qualification, along with JTET/CTET (Class 6 to 8).

Selection Process

• Stage 1 : Written Examination (Computer-Based Test or OMR)

  • Conducted in objective multiple-choice format (MCQ).

  • Features a qualifying Paper 1 (Mother Tongue) where candidates must score at least 30% to have their remaining evaluation-counted papers checked.

  • Includes standard negative marking where incorrect answers attract mark deductions.

• Stage 2 : Preparation of the Merit List

  • A final rank-wise merit list is prepared based strictly on the aggregate normalisation marks obtained in the scoring papers, adhering to state reservation and district roster rules.

• Stage 3 : Document Verification

  • Shortlisted candidates are called to verify original academic records, teacher training qualifications, TET certificates, caste/domicile documents, and service credentials (for backlog/para teachers).

• Stage 4 : Medical Examination & Final Appointment

  • Candidates clear a medical fitness assessment to receive their final official placement and appointment letter.
