Selection Process
Step 1 : Online Application Submission — Eligible candidates must submit their applications online through the official BTSC website within the specified window (24 September, 2026 to 23 October, 2026). Step 2 : Written Competition Examination (Computer Based Test) — Candidates must appear for a 100-mark Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of multiple-choice questions based on the B.V.Sc. & A.H. syllabus, carrying a weightage of 75 marks with negative marking (0.25 marks deducted for wrong answers). Step 3 : Minimum Qualifying Marks Assessment — Candidates must secure the mandatory minimum qualifying marks in the CBT based on their respective reservation categories to remain in the selection zone. Step 4 : Work Experience Weightage Calculation — Additional weightage of up to 25 marks is awarded for eligible contractual work experience in matching veterinary roles (5 marks per year). Step 5 : Merit List Preparation — A combined merit list is prepared out of a total of 100 marks, incorporating normalized CBT scores (75% weight) and contractual experience marks (25% weight). Step 6 : Document Verification — Shortlisted candidates must present their original certificates, mark sheets, and required category or work experience proofs on the designated date.
