How to Apply?

  • Step 1. Visit Official Website : Go to the new SSC official website at https://ssc.gov.in or download the "my SSC" mobile application from the Google Play Store.  
  • Step 2. Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) : Click on 'Register Now' to generate a fresh OTR on the new website, noting that old OTR credentials from the legacy portal are invalid.
  • Step 3. Authenticate and Log In : Log in using your newly generated OTR credentials and optionally opt for Aadhaar-based biometric authentication for streamlined processing.
  • Step 4. Access Application Form : Navigate to the 'Apply' section for the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2026 under your candidate dashboard.
  • Step 5. Fill Personal Details : Verify or input your personal information, ensuring names and dates of birth match your Matriculation certificate strictly.
  • Step 6. Capture Live Photograph : Stand or sit before your device camera in a well-lit area with a plain background to capture a direct, frontal live photo without caps, masks, or spectacles.
  • Step 7. Upload Scanned Signature : Upload a scanned signature image in JPEG/JPG format sizing between 10 KB to 20 KB with dimensions of approximately 6.0 cm width by 2.0 cm height.
  • Step 8. Provide Supporting Documents : Upload required certificates like Category or Disability proofs (Annexure forms) if claiming reservations or special provisions.
  • Step 9. Select Examination Centres : Choose up to three examination centers in order of priority within your respective SSC geographic region.
  • Step 10. Review Application Preview : Use the preview/print option to carefully check all entered fields, details, and photo/signature quality before final submission.
  • Step 11. Pay Examination Fee : Submit the application fee of ₹100 online via BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or eligible Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit cards (women and reserved category candidates are exempt).
  • Step 12. Submit and Print Application : Complete final submission by 07-10-2026 (23:00 Hours) and save or print a copy of the 'Application Received' confirmation for your records.

Selection Process

  • Registration and Application : Candidates must successfully register via One-Time Registration (OTR) and submit their online application on the official SSC website.

  • Tier-I Computer Based Examination : Candidates appear for an objective-type preliminary screening exam consisting of English, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness.

  • Tier-II Computer Based Examination : Shortlisted candidates clear a rigorous multi-section main examination covering mathematical abilities, reasoning, English, general awareness, and computer knowledge.

  • Skill Test and Typing Test : Candidates must qualify the mandatory skill test (for Data Entry Operators) or typing test (for LDC/JSA) conducted during Tier-II.

  • Post Preference Submission : Candidates submit their final, irreversible post and department preferences online prior to the declaration of the tentative allocation results.

  • Document Verification and Final Allotment : User ministries and departments conduct final document verification for shortlisted candidates before issuing appointments based on merit-cum-preference.
