Website Access : Go to the official CSIR-NGRI website at https://www.ngri.res.in/ to locate the online application portal. New Registration : Click on the "New Registration" button on top of the panel and register with a valid email address and mobile number. Login Credentials : Log in to the Online Application Portal using your generated credentials received after successful registration. Form Completion : Fill out the online application form carefully, ensuring all personal, educational, and experience details are accurately entered. Document Uploads : Upload scanned copies of your recent passport-size colour photograph, signature, 10th/SSC marksheet, essential qualification certificates, ITI/Trade certificate, and category documents (if applicable). Fee Payment : Remit the application fee of Rs. 500/- (exempted for SC, ST, PwBD, Women, and Ex-Servicemen) through SBI Collect using the designated corporate link.
Final Submission : Verify all entered details, enter the SBI Collect transaction reference/payment details, and click 'Final Submit' to complete the application. Application Printout : Save and print a hard copy of the fully submitted online application form for your future reference and records.

Selection Process |
Stage-I Trade Test : Practical knowledge evaluation based on job requirements, conducted by a Selection Committee to shortlist eligible candidates. Stage-II Competitive Written Examination : OMR or Computer-Based Objective Type Multiple Choice Examination consisting of 150 questions for a total time of 2 hours and 30 minutes, set in English and Hindi (except English Language) with an SSC+ITI/XII standard. Paper-I Mental Ability Test : 100 questions, 50 maximum marks (2 marks for every correct answer), 1 hour time allotted, with zero negative marking. Paper-II General Awareness and English Language : 50 total questions split into General Awareness (25 questions, 75 maximum marks, 3 marks for correct answer, 1 negative mark for wrong answer) and English Language (25 questions, 75 maximum marks, 3 marks for correct answer, 1 negative mark for wrong answer), with 30 minutes time allotted. Paper-III Concerned Subject : 50 questions based on advertised qualifications, 150 maximum marks (3 marks for every correct answer), 1 hour time allotted, with 1 negative mark for every wrong answer. Final Merit Preparation : Evaluated only for candidates securing minimum threshold marks in Paper-I, with final ranking based strictly on the combined marks of Paper-II and Paper-III.
