  • Stage 1 : Screening Test (Objective Type - 100 Marks)

    • Duration : 2 hours

    • Question Structure : Comprises 100 multiple-choice questions (1 mark each) divided into two parts :

      • Part-A (20 Marks) : General Syllabus consisting of General Intelligence & Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Knowledge & Computer Awareness, and English Language & Comprehension.

      • Part-B (80 Marks) : Domain Knowledge covering administrative and financial rules (such as NITSER Act & Statutes, Fundamental Rules, CCS Rules, GFR-2017, GeM, CPPP, GST/IT, RTI Act, accounting procedures, budgeting, etc.).

    • Negative Marking : 0.25 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer (unanswered questions attract no penalty).

  • Stage 2 : Skill Test (Qualifying in Nature)

    • Candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in the Stage-1 Screening Test.

    • For Superintendent : Word Processing & Spreadsheet Proficiency Test in English (duration: 20 minutes).

    • For Senior Assistant : Typing Test (35 w.p.m. in English or Hindi, 10 minutes) followed by a Word Processing & Spreadsheet Proficiency Test (20 minutes).

    • Merit List : Prepared solely on the total marks obtained in the Stage-1 Screening Test (Stage-2 is strictly qualifying).

2. Technical Assistant, Senior Technician, Technician, & Office Attendant

The selection for these execution-level and technical posts is streamlined :

  • Mode of Selection : Screening Test only.

  • Merit List : Prepared solely on the basis of total marks obtained in the Screening Test.

  • Exam Structure (100 Marks / 2 Hours)

    • Part-A (20 Marks) : General syllabus / General Awareness & Reasoning (depending on the specific post).

    • Part-B (80 Marks) : Domain Knowledge specific to the educational qualifications, ITI trade, or diploma/science level required for the respective department.

    • Negative Marking : 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer.

Tie-Breaking Rules

In the event of a tie in total marks during the Screening Test, inter-se merit is determined sequentially by :

  1. Higher marks obtained in Part-B (Domain Knowledge) of the Screening Test.

  2. If marks in Part-B are also identical, the candidate with the higher age gets preference in merit.
