How to Apply

  • Website Access : Visit the official website erd.punjab.gov.in to begin the application process.

  • Single Category Registration Note : Ensure you apply under only one category, as submitting multiple registrations will result in only the first one being considered valid while subsequent ones are automatically canceled.

  • Initial Registration : Click on the New Registration link on the website and fill in the required details, keeping in mind that registered information cannot be edited or updated later.

  • Account Login : Log into your account using your generated Registration Number and Password after completing the initial registration step.

  • Fee Payment : Click on the Application Fee link within your account dashboard to pay the required application fee online.

  • Document Uploads : Upload a self-attested passport-size recent color photograph (with date, plain background, no goggles/caps), scanned signatures, and scanned fingerprints/thumb impressions on a white paper as specified.

  • Final Printout : Take a printout of the fee confirmation and the filled Application Form for your records, noting that hard copies do not need to be mailed to the directorate unless explicitly requested.

Selection Process

  • Punjabi Language Qualifying Test : Candidates must first clear a mandatory matriculation-standard Punjabi language test with at least 50% marks to be eligible for further evaluation.

  • Written Test: Eligible candidates must appear for a 70-mark departmental objective multiple-choice written test conducted by the recruiting agency. 

  • Physical Eligibility Test (PET) : Candidates must successfully clear this qualifying test, which consists of five physical components (where three out of five must be completed successfully; disabled candidates are exempt).

  • Sports Achievements Evaluation : Candidates are awarded up to 30 maximum marks based on official gradation certificates (Grades A to D) issued by the Department of Sports and Youth Services, Punjab.

  • Final Merit List : The final selection is determined based on the combined merit score out of 100 total marks, combining the written test score (max 70 marks) and the sports achievement score (max 30 marks).
