Selection Process

  • Computer Based Test (CBT) : The process includes a computer-based or written test consisting of a General Aptitude section and a Technical/Professional Knowledge section.
  • Document Verification : Scrutiny of the application and uploaded documents, along with document verification, will be conducted for candidates shortlisted based on the merit list.
    Group Task and/or Personal Interview : Shortlisted candidates will be called for a group task and/or a personal interview.

  • Psychometric Assessment : Candidates may be required to undergo psychometric assessments either before or after the group task/personal interview stage.

  • Physical Fitness Efficiency Test (PFET) : Candidates for applicable positions will be required to clear a Physical Fitness Efficiency Test following the Pre-Employment Medical Examination (PEME).

  • Pre-Employment Medical Examination (PEME) : Candidates will undergo a mandatory medical examination in HPCL-nominated or empanelled hospitals to ensure they meet the prescribed medical standards for the post.

  • Final Merit List : A category- and discipline-wise merit list is drawn up based on qualified stages (CBT/Written Test, Group Task, Personal Interviews, and Work Experience, where applicable).
