• Nationality : Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
• Bachelor's Degree : Full-time Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with at least 60% marks from a recognized University/Institute.
• Post Graduation : Full-time two-year Post Graduate Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication, Journalism, Advertising & Communication, Public Relations, or a combination thereof, with at least 60% marks from a recognized University/Institute.
• Relaxation for Reserved Categories : SC, ST, and PwBD candidates with at least 55% marks in the required qualification are eligible to apply where vacancies are identified for their category.

How to Apply?

• Step 1 : Log on to the website careers.ntpc.co.in to apply, as only online applications are accepted.

• Step 2 : Pay the non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500/- if belonging to the General/EWS/OBC category (SC/ST/PwBD/XSM category & female candidates are exempt).

• Step 3 : Deposit the fee in offline mode by approaching a nearby SBI branch with a printout of the pay-in-slip from the portal, or pay online via Net banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card.

• Step 4 : Fill in the unique Journal Number and Branch Code provided by the bank during the online application if paid offline.

• Step 5 : Upload all mandatory documents including your Class X certificate, PAN/Aadhaar card, graduation/post-graduation degrees, consolidated marksheets, conversion formulas, and category/disability certificates in the prescribed formats.

• Step 6 : Submit the online application and download the system-generated application slip with a unique application number for future reference, noting that no documents need to be sent by post.

Selection Process

• Application Shortlisting : The management reserves the right to conduct multi-stage selection processes like application shortlisting/screening based on qualification, percentage of marks, etc.   

• Written/Computer-Based Test & Interview : Selection may comprise a written/computer-based test (85% weightage) and an interview (15% weightage), with candidates required to qualify separately in both.   

• Test Structure : The online written test will have two parts—Subject Knowledge Test (SKT) and Executive Aptitude Test (EAT)—and candidates must qualify in both sections separately.   

• Medical Examination : Before joining, candidates will have to undergo a medical examination by the NTPC Medical Board/Officer, and their decision will be final and binding.
