Educational Qualification

• Librarian (Group-C) : Graduation with a post-graduate diploma in Library Science, OR a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Library Science. Candidates must also have 3 years of experience as a Library Attendant or on a higher post in a related field in any reputed organization, including public institutions.
• Peon (Group-D) : Must have passed Matriculation from a recognized Board.
• Mali (Group-D) : Must have passed Matriculation from a recognized Board, along with 3 years of experience in gardening.
• Cook-cum-Attendant (Group-D) : Must have passed Matriculation from a recognized Board, along with 3 years of experience in cooking in a government undertaking or a reputed hotel.

How to Apply?

• Step 1 : Visit Portal : Access the official recruitment portal at https://highcourt.hp.gov.in/ or https://www.hphcrecruitment.in/login to begin your application.

• Step 2 : Review Rules : Carefully read through the R&P Rules, 2015 and the advertisement instructions available on the High Court website prior to applying.

• Step 3 : Prepare Documents : Keep your scanned photograph (20-50 KB), signature (10-20 KB), Matric certificate (100-500 KB), ID proof (100-500 KB), and other certificates (100 KB - 2 MB in PDF) ready.

• Step 4 : Register & Fill Form : Complete the Online Recruitment Application (ORA) form by providing accurate personal, educational, and category details.

• Step 5 : Upload Files : Upload legible and complete sets of mandatory testimonials, category certificates, and experience documents as applicable.

• Step 6 : Pay Online Fee : Submit the required examination fee securely through the online payment gateway before the deadline.

• Step 7 : Preview & Save : Review the submitted application form carefully, and take a printout or screenshot of the final submission for your personal records.

Selection Process

1. Librarian (Group-C)

• Competitive Written Examination : The final merit list is drawn directly based on the marks obtained in the written test, conducted as per Schedule-IV (Part-G) of the R&P Rules, 2015.

2. Group-D Posts (Peon, Mali, & Cook-cum-Attendant)

The selection for Group-D posts follows a multi-stage evaluation process without a written exam:

• Step A : Shortlisting (1:3 Ratio)

  • Candidates are shortlisted for Evaluation/Document Verification in a 1:3 ratio based on the marks obtained in their Matriculation examination.

  • Matriculation marks are calculated out of 85 marks based on the percentage scored (e.g., a candidate with 50% in Matric gets 42.5 marks).

• Step B : Document Evaluation (15 Marks) : An additional 15 marks are awarded based on specific socio-economic criteria and documentation uploaded during the online application:

  • Belonging to notified Backward Area or Panchayat : 1 mark

  • Landless family / family having less than 1 hectare of land : 2 marks

  • Non-employment Certificate (certifying that no family member is in Government/Semi-Government service) : 2.5 marks

  • Differently abled persons (with more than 40% impairment/disability) : 1 mark

  • NSS (at least one year) / NCC / Bharat Scout & Guide / National-level sports medal winner : 1 mark

  • BPL family (annual income below ₹40,000/- or as prescribed) : 2.5 marks

  • Widow / Divorced / Destitute / Single woman : 1 mark

  • Single daughter / Orphan: 1.5 marks

  • Work Experience (up to a maximum of 5 years in a Govt./Semi-Govt. organization relating to the post applied for) : 0.5 marks for each completed year (max 2.5 marks).

• Step C : Final Merit & Document Verification (DV)

  • The final merit list is drawn strictly based on the combined score of educational qualification marks (Matriculation out of 85) and evaluation marks (out of 15).

  • Document Verification is conducted to authenticate the original certificates matching what was uploaded during the online application stage.
