How to Apply?

• Verify Eligibility and Domicile : Ensure you meet the educational qualifications, age limits (minimum 18 years), and have a valid Madhya Pradesh domicile certificate if claiming reservation.

• Ensure Mandatory Aadhaar Registration : Complete your Aadhaar registration and ensure your Aadhaar is unlocked for multi-level biometric verification during the examination process.

• Visit the Official MPESB Portal : Go to the official website of the Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board at www.esb.mp.gov.in.

• Review the Notification and Dates : Check the rulebook online to confirm important dates (online application active from 22 September, 2026 to 06 October, 2026) and guidelines.

• Fill Out the Online Application Form : Access the online application link, fill in your personal details, and select your preferred post-cadres and district units carefully.

• Upload Required Documents and Declaration : Scan and upload your recent passport-size color photograph (with name and date, taken within 3 months), signature, and a self-handwritten declaration text.

• Pay the Examination Fee : Pay the requisite exam fee online (Rs. 500 for unreserved candidates; Rs. 250 for reserved MP native categories, plus applicable MPOnline portal and kiosk charges).

• Submit and Print Confirmation Page : Review all entered details thoroughly, submit the final application form, and print/save the application reference number slip for future admit card downloads and recruitment stages.

Selection Process

• Step 1 : Online Application Submission - Candidates must submit their applications online through the official MPESB portal along with scanned photographs, signatures, handwritten declarations, and required qualification details.   

• Step 2 : First-Stage Computer-Based Online Written Examination - Candidates appear for a 2-hour objective-type MCQ written test conducted in Hindi covering General Knowledge & Logical Reasoning, Intellectual Ability & Mental Aptitude, and Science & Simple Arithmetic.   

• Step 3: Shortlisting for Second Phase - Candidates numbering seven times the advertised vacancies based on vertical category cut-off percentiles are shortlisted for the next phase of the recruitment process.

• Step 4 : Physical Measurement Test (PMT) - Shortlisted candidates undergo physical height and chest measurements (along with eye sight and medical screening criteria) as per prescribed standards for specific armed or general duty cadres.

• Step 5 : Physical Efficiency Test (PET) - Qualified candidates participate in physical trials consisting of an 800-meter run, long jump, and shot put, which are evaluated for a maximum of 100 marks that contribute directly to the final merit list.

• Step 6 : Document Verification - Original documents including birth certificates, educational mark sheets, category certificates, domicile certificates, and relevant bonus/reservation proofs are thoroughly verified by police headquarters selection committees.

• Step 7 : Final Merit List Preparation - A final selection list is compiled by combining the scores obtained in the first-stage written examination and the second-stage physical efficiency test, strictly adhering to vertical and horizontal reservation guidelines.

• Step 8 : Medical Examination & Character Verification - Final candidates undergo a comprehensive medical examination by a district medical board followed by a thorough background character and antecedent verification.

• Step 9 : Appointment and Probation Training - Medically fit and verified candidates are issued appointment orders for a three-year probationary training period, after which they are officially posted to assigned units.
