How to Apply?
Online Registration : Visit the official ISRO website (www.isro.gov.in) between August 27, 2026, and September 16, 2026 (up to 11:55 PM) to access the online registration link. Application Submission : Fill out the required personal and educational details accurately on the online portal and submit the form to generate a unique online Registration Number. Document Upload : Upload clear scanned copies of your recent passport-size photograph (100 Kb to 200 Kb in .jpg/.jpeg format) and signature in black ink (80 Kb to 150 Kb), along with relevant category certificates if claiming fee refunds. Fee Payment : Pay the non-refundable application fee and processing charges via the Bharatkosh e-Payment gateway using internet banking, UPI, or domestic debit cards by September 16, 2026. Final Verification & Printout : Review all entered details carefully before final submission, save a digital copy of the submitted application, and preserve your registration number for future reference.
Selection Process
Written Test / Computer-Based Test (CBT) : Conducted across 37 venues pan-India, the exam consists of two objective sections: Part A (80 Area/Discipline-specific MCQs for 80 marks with +1/-1/3 marking scheme over 90 minutes) and Part B (15-20 Aptitude/Ability MCQs for 20 marks with zero negative marking over 30 minutes). Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks of 50% in each part for Unreserved categories, or 40% for reserved PwBD categories. Personal Interview : Candidates who clear the written test are shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio (maintaining an aggregate minimum of 10 candidates). The interview evaluates technical/academic knowledge, general awareness in the field of specialization, communication skills, comprehension, and academic achievements/performance. Final Panel Generation & Weightage :The final merit panel is compiled using a 50% weightage given to the Written Test/CBT score and 50% weightage given to the Personal Interview score. Any tie-breakers are resolved sequentially via written test scores, essential qualification marks, and age preference (older candidates ranked higher).
