How to Apply?

• 1. Visit Official Portal : Go to the official UPSC Online Recruitment Application (ORA) website at https://upsconline.nic.in/ora/.

• 2. Create Universal Account : Register on the portal to generate your Universal Registration Number (URN), which remains constant for all UPSC recruitments.

• 3. Read Instructions : Review the general guidelines, module-wise instructions, and document upload specifications available on the portal home page.

• 4. Prepare Scanned Documents : Keep digital copies (PDF format) of your 10th certificate (for date of birth), degree certificates, caste certificates, and experience documents ready.

• 5. Prepare Photo and Signature: Ensure you have a clear photograph, capture a live photo during the form filling, and prepare scanned signatures (three times in black ink on plain white paper).

• 6. Complete Common Application Form : Fill out the Common Application Form (CAF) and the post-specific module for the Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner vacancy before 18:00 HRS on 11 September, 2026.

• 7. Pay Application Fee : Pay the required fee of Rs. 25/- using Visa, MasterCard, RuPay Credit/Debit Card, UPI, or Internet Banking (Female, SC, ST, and PwBD candidates are exempt from fee payment).

• 8. Final Submission and Printout : Submit the completed online application form and take a printout of the final submission for your records and future reference.

Selection Process

• Online Application : Candidates must submit their online applications through the UPSC recruitment portal before the closing date.

• Recruitment Test : A pen-and-paper-based objective type Recruitment Test (RT) is conducted to shortlist candidates.

• Shortlisting : Candidates are shortlisted for the interview stage based on their performance in the Recruitment Test and eligibility verification.

• Document Verification : Shortlisted candidates are required to submit and verify original certificates and documents supporting their application claims.

• Interview / Personality Test : Candidates who clear the Recruitment Test and document scrutiny appear for a 100-mark interview.

• Final Selection : Final merit and selection are determined based on the combined performance and weighted scores of the Recruitment Test and the interview.
