Eligibility (A or B)

A.

1) A Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant /allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.

2) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR (exemption from NET shall be granted in accordance with clause (ii) & (iii) of General Note in the last section of this

document).

OR

B. The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign University/Institution with a ranking among top 500 in the world University ranking (at any time) by any one of the following :

(i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS)

(ii) The Times Higher Education (TIIHE) or

(iii) The Academic Ranking Of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).

• Access Application Portal : Visit the official University of Delhi recruitment web link at https://colrec.uod.ac.in to access the prescribed online application form.

• Register and Fill Form : Complete the online registration and carefully fill in all mandatory fields with accurate personal, educational, and professional details.

• Upload Documents : Upload digital copies of all required certificates, testimonials, category proofs, and research publications as specified in the guidelines.

• Pay Application Fee : Submit the application fee of Rs. 500 online using a credit card, debit card, or net banking (exempting SC, ST, PwBD, and women applicants).

• Review and Submit : Double-check all entered information and attachments for accuracy, then submit the application form online before the stipulated deadline.

Selection Process

• Screening and Shortlisting : Applications are first screened based on an academic score out of 100 points (encompassing graduation, post-graduation, M.Phil/Ph.D., NET/JRF, research publications, and teaching experience), and a designated number of top-ranking candidates per vacancy are shortlisted.

• Presentation Assessment : Shortlisted candidates undergo a prima facie assessment through a presentation and an essay-writing task to evaluate their writing, communication, and teaching zeal.

• Selection Committee Interview : Final selection is carried out purely on the basis of performance in the interview conducted by the duly constituted Selection Committee for candidates who clear the presentation stage.
