Selection Process

  • Online Application Submission : Candidates must fill out and submit their applications online through the MP Online portal, providing personal details, scanned photographs, signatures, handwritten text declarations, and required documents along with preferences/priorities for posts and departments.

  • Admit Card Generation & Verification : Candidates download their Test Admit Cards (TAC) from the MPESB website using their application login credentials, which must be brought to the exam center along with a valid original photo ID.

  • Biometric Authentication at Exam Centre : On the examination day, candidates must undergo a mandatory Aadhaar-enabled biometric verification process at the exam center before being allowed entry into the examination hall.

  • Computer-Based Test (CBT) : Candidates appear for the online objective-type written examination consisting of a single question paper carrying a total of 200 marks (100 marks for General Studies/Aptitude subjects and 100 marks for the concerned technical subject).

  • Normalisation of Scores : If the computer-based test is conducted across multiple shifts, the board applies a normalisation formula to standardise and finalise the candidates' final scores.

  • Objections Handling & Model Answers : MPESB publishes provisional subject-wise model answer keys online, reviews candidates' objections with subject experts, and prepares the final results.

  • Declaration of Results & Merit Lists : Based on final evaluated percentiles/scores and reservation rules, the board publishes the final results, category-wise merit lists, and waiting lists on its website.

  • Recommendation of Candidates : MPESB recommends the names of qualified candidates from the merit list based on original vacancies to the respective user departments for recruitment processing.

  • Document Verification (DV) : The allocated user department conducts physical document verification to check educational qualifications, category certificates, and overall eligibility.

  • Medical Examination : As per Rule 21 of the rulebook, candidates under consideration for appointment undergo a medical examination to ensure they possess good mental and physical health, free from any bodily defects that could affect the efficient discharge of their duties.

  • Final Appointment & Joining : Upon successfully passing both document verification and the medical examination, the user department issues the final appointment order, and the candidate must join the post by the specified deadline.
