How to Apply?
Online Registration : Visit the official website at https://apprenticeship.recttindia.in/ to fill out the online application form. Application Window : Submit your application between the third day (1000 hrs) of the advertisement's publication in Employment News and up to 2359 hrs on October 10, 2026. Document Preparation : Scan all required documents in color PDF format (A4 size, up to 200 kb each) including your passport size photo (blue background, 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm, up to 200 kb in JPEG/JPG format), SSC/Matriculation mark sheet and proof of date of birth, and ITI certificate with final consolidated mark sheet. Category & Disability Certificates : Prepare community certificates, physical disability certificates, Armed Forces Personnel/ex-serviceman applicability certificates, and the compulsory Aadhaar card (up to 200 kb in JPEG/JPG format) if applicable. Final Submission : Complete the online form carefully, upload the valid documents (note that mobile/camera-taken photos of documents are unacceptable), and retain a copy of the acknowledgment since hard copies do not need to be sent to NSRY (Sri Vijaya Puram).
Selection Process
Step 1 : Application Scrutiny & Preliminary Shortlisting — Preliminary shortlisting is done trade-wise and category-wise by drawing a merit list based on the aggregate percentage (%) of marks obtained in Class 10 (Std X) and ITI trades. Step 2 : Issuance of Interview Call Letter — Eligible shortlisted candidates receive an interview call letter on their registered email ID and through online portal communication after document scrutiny. Step 3 : Technical Skill Interview — Shortlisted candidates undergo a 50-mark interview at the Apprentice Training School, NSRY (Sri Vijaya Puram), to test their technical skills in their respective trade. Step 4 : Final Merit List Preparation & Tie-Breaking — The final merit list is prepared strictly on the basis of interview marks, resolving ties by giving preference to older candidates first, followed by ascending alphabetical order of full names as recorded in Class 10 certificates. Step 5 : Document Verification — Selected candidates must produce all original documents (Class 10 mark sheet, ITI certificate & final marksheet, Aadhaar card, and relevant reservation/NCC/sports certificates) before registration. Step 6 : Medical Examination — Candidates must obtain a medical fitness certificate from a Government Hospital/Medical Officer and undergo examination by the Yard Medical Officer prior to enrollment. Step 7 : Apprenticeship Contract Execution — Final selected candidates sign and execute an apprenticeship contract with the employer through the NAPS portal (https://apprenticeship.gov.in) to officially begin training.
