• Registration Process - Access the online recruitment portal link, register by filling in all mandatory personal, educational, and experience details accurately, and note down your registration credentials.

• Document Uploads - Upload all required self-attested scanned documents and certificates in the specified PDF formats and size limits onto the portal.

• Fee Payment - Pay the non-refundable application registration fee of Rs. 500/- online through the integrated payment gateway if you belong to the General, OBC, or EWS categories.

• Final Submission - Review all entered details carefully, submit the online application form, and print a system-generated copy of the submitted application along with payment details for future reference.

Selection Process

• Online Application Submission : Candidates must submit their applications online through the official Mineral Exploration & Consultancy Limited (MECL) portal between September 12, 2026, and October 11, 2026.  

• Application Screening : A constituted Screening Committee reviews online applications to segregate candidates into "Eligible" and "Not Eligible" categories based on advertisement specifications.  

• Written Competitive Examination : Shortlisted candidates appear for a written test conducted at Nagpur by an independent external agency, carrying a 100% weightage.  

• Written Test Merit List Generation : A merit list is drawn up by the Written Test Committee for candidates who meet or exceed the category-specific cut-off percentages (50% for UR/OBC-NCL/EWS and 45% for SC/ST).  

• Document Verification Process : Candidates from the written test merit list are called for document verification in an approximate ratio of 1:7 per vacancy.  

• Skill Test / Trade Test : Candidates clearing document verification progress to a qualifying skill or trade test administered by an internal committee to segregate them into "Suitable" or "Not Suitable" categories.  

• Final Merit List & Selection : Final selection is determined by drawing a merit list based on the written test marks of candidates declared suitable in the trade or skill test, pending medical fitness.
