• Educational Qualification -Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent examination from any recognised Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in

  Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).

• Who can Apply - Candidates who have appeared for JEE (Main) - 2026 exam (for B.E/ B. Tech). Call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) will be issued on the basis of JEE (Main) All

  India Common Rank List (CRL) - 2026 published by NTA.

• Medical Standards/ Relaxation in Height and Weight/ Tattoo - All candidates recommended by SSB are required to undergo medical examination applicable to 10+2 (B Tech) entry.

  Candidates who have already been declared medically fit for the NDA/INA Jan 27 need not undergo repeat medical examination. Guidelines for medical standards are available on the Indian

  Navy website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in. There is no relaxation in medical standards on any grounds. Change of medical hospital/center is not permissible under any circumstances.

How to Apply?

• Website Registration : Candidates must register and submit their application online through the recruitment website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.

• Document Preparation : Keep relevant documents like Matriculation/12th certificates, marksheets, and the JEE (Main)-2026 Score card readily available before filling out the e-application.

• Personal Particulars : Fill in correct personal details strictly as given in the Matriculation or 12th class certificates.

• Mandatory Fields : Ensure mandatory fields such as email address and mobile number are accurately filled.

• Document Scanning : Scan all relevant original documents (including Date of Birth proof, 10th/12th marksheets, and JEE Main-2026 CRL Score card) and a recent passport-size color photograph in original JPG/TIFF format for attachment.

• Application Submission : Review all information carefully before final submission, as once submitted, no requests for amendments or changes will be entertained.

• Printout and Carry : Take a printout of the submitted application and carry it along with original certificates and documents when appearing for the SSB interview.

Selection Process

• Shortlisting via JEE Main : Naval Headquarters determines a cutoff based on the JEE (Main)-2026 All India Common Rank List (CRL), and candidates must fill in their rank accordingly.

• SSB Interview Notification : Shortlisted candidates are informed about their selection for SSB interviews (scheduled at Bengaluru, Bhopal, Kolkata, or Visakhapatnam from Sep 2026 onwards) via email and SMS.

• Downloading Call-Up Letters : Candidates must download their call-up letter upon receiving intimation via SMS or email from Naval Headquarters.

• SSB Interview Appearance : Candidates appear for the SSB interviews, where AC 3 tier rail fare is admissible for first-time appearances along with required bank passbook/cheque leaf photocopies.

• Medical Examination : Recommended candidates undergo medical examinations applicable to the 10+2 (B Tech) entry, with no changes in hospital/center or medical standard relaxations permitted.

• Common Merit List Preparation : A final merit list is prepared based on SSB marks and medical fitness.

• Verification and Appointment : Final appointment is subject to police verification, character verification, and the availability of vacancies.
