• Pay Level : Level 12 in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix (Pre-revised PB-3, Rs. 15,600-39,100 + GP Rs. 7,600)

• Age Limit : Not exceeding 50 years

• Educational Qualification : Master’s degree in Engineering in a related field from a recognized University or Institution with 10 years of experience in pollution control or a related field (acquired after the Master's degree).

• Eligible Engineering Streams : Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, ECE, Biomedical Engineering, Water Resources, Remote Sensing, GIS, Hydrology, or Equivalent Qualification(s).

Environmental Engineer (EE)

• Tentative Vacancies : 02 (01 OBC-NCL, 01 - UR)

• Pay Level : Level 11 in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix (Pre-revised PB-3, Rs. 15,600-39,100 + GP Rs. 6,600)

• Age Limit : Not exceeding 40 years

• Educational Qualification : Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in a related field from a recognized University or Institution with 8 years of experience in pollution control or a related field (acquired after the Bachelor's degree), OR a Master’s degree in Engineering in a related field with 6 years of experience in pollution control or a related field (acquired after the Master's degree).

• Eligible Engineering Streams : Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, ECE, Biomedical Engineering, Water Resources, Remote Sensing, GIS, Hydrology, or Equivalent Qualification(s).

Assistant Environmental Engineer (AEE)

• Tentative Vacancies : 11 (09 reserved for OBC-NCL Delhi, 01 for UR, 01 for PwBD)

• Pay Level : Level 10 in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix  

• Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years

• Educational Qualification : Degree in Engineering in a related field from a recognized University/Institution with 2 years of experience in pollution control/related field, OR a Master’s degree in Engineering in a related field from a recognized university.

• Eligible Engineering Streams : Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, ECE, Biomedical Engineering, Water Resources, Remote Sensing, GIS, Hydrology, or Equivalent Qualification(s).

How to Apply?

• Obtain Form : Download the prescribed application form and Annexure-1 from the official Delhi Pollution Control Committee website at https://dpcc.delhi.gov.in under the "What's New" section.

• Complete Details : Fill out the application form carefully, ensuring all required educational, personal, and professional information is accurately provided.

• Attach Documents : Affix a recent passport-size photograph and enclose self-attested copies of all relevant supporting documents, certificates, and Annexure-1.

• Sign Application : Ensure the application form is duly signed by you before submission.

• Seal Envelope : Place the completed application and documents in a sealed envelope and super-scribe it with "Application for the Post of ________".

• Submit by Post/Hand : Send the physical application form through Registered Post, Speed Post, or submit it by-hand to the Administrative Officer, DPCC, 3rd Floor, Block-I, DMRC IT Park Building, Shastri Park, Delhi-110053 within 21 days of the advertisement's publication.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Group 'A' posts (Senior Environmental Engineer, Environmental Engineer, and Assistant Environmental Engineer) totals 100 marks and is based on a structured weightage system evaluating academic qualifications, professional experience, national exams, and an interview.

• Percentage of marks in Minimum Qualification (Max. 10 Marks) :

  • For marks above 60% : 10 marks.

  • Below 60% : 0 marks.

  • 0.25 marks are awarded for each percentage unit over and above 60% (e.g., 62.4% results in (62.4-60) x 0.25 = 0.6 marks).

• Higher / Additional Qualifications (Max. 10 Marks) :

  • Ph.D. : 10 marks.

  • Master's Degree (if not considered as the minimum eligibility criteria) : 5 marks.

• Relevant Experience (Max. 25 Marks) :

  • Awarded for experience in environment, pollution control, and/or Public Health Engineering after/before acquiring minimum qualifications.

  • Marks vary per year depending on the category of experience (Categories A, B, C, D based on pay scale/CTC) and whether the service was in a Pollution Control Board/Committee (CPCB/SPCB/PCC) or other organizations.

  • Note: Full-time academic acquisition time, training (excluding on-the-job), internships, teaching, fellowships, and Ph.D. research experience are excluded from being counted as experience.

• UPSC Technical/Engineering Exam Selections (Max. 20 Marks) :

  • Awarded to candidates selected in any exam conducted by UPSC for technical/engineering roles (such as ESE or technical recruitment for the Indian Army) at Level 10 or above.

• Valid Qualified GATE Score (Max. 20 Marks) :

  • All India Rank (AIR) less than or equal to 250 : 20 marks

  • AIR < 500 : 16 marks

  • AIR < 750 : 12 marks

  • AIR < 1000 : 8 marks

  • AIR < 1250 : 4 marks

• Interview (Max. 15 Marks) :

  • Assessment conducted directly by the Selection Committee.
