Qualification Details

• Veterinary and Livestock Development Diploma (VLDD) : Passed 10+2 examination in Any Stream from a recognized board, along with passing the Matriculation/10th standard examination with a minimum of 50% marks (relaxable to 47.5% for SC/DSC category candidates). A bridge course is conducted for non-science students enrolled in IPVS and affiliated private colleges. Admissions are based on the VLDDET-2026 entrance test.  

• Diploma in Veterinary Laboratory Technology (DVLT) : Passed 10+2 examination in the Medical stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology (relaxable to 47.5% for SC/DSC candidates). Admissions are based on the NEET (UG)-2026 merit score.

• Age Limit : Candidates must have attained the age of 17 years as of 31st December, 2026 (candidates turning 17 on January 1, 2027, or later are ineligible; birth date cannot be on or after January 1, 2010). There is no upper age limit except for in-service candidates (maximum 50 years).

• Affiliated Private Institutes/Colleges (VLDD Program) :

  • Spanned across 16 private institutes with a total of 1,440 seats.

  • Seats are split into 60% State Quota (reserved for Haryana residents following state reservation policies) and 40% Management Quota (open to both Haryana and other state candidates based on VLDDET-2026 merit).

How to Apply?

• Online Registration : Visit the official LUVAS admissions portal (luvas.edu.in) to create an account and fill out the online application form for VLDDET or register via NEET UG counseling for DVLT.
• Document Upload : Scan and upload required certificates including your 10th and 100+2 mark sheets, photograph, signature, and category certificates if applicable.
• Fee Payment : Pay the requisite non-refundable application fee securely through the online payment gateway integrated into the admission portal.
• Entrance Examination / Counseling : Appear for the VLDDET-2026 entrance test for VLDD programs or participate in the centralized counseling process based on your NEET (UG)-2026 score for DVLT.
• Seat Allotment & Reporting : Check the seat allotment results online, download your provisional admission letter, and report to the designated college for document verification and fee deposition within the stipulated deadline.

Selection Process

• Application Submission : Eligible candidates must apply online through the official LUVAS admission portal by the specified deadline.
• Entrance Examination : Candidates applying for VLDD must appear for the VLDDET-2026 entrance test, while DVLT applicants are selected based on their NEET (UG)-2026 merit scores.
• Merit List Generation : The university prepares category-wise merit lists based on the respective entrance test scores or qualifying exam criteria.
• Counseling Sessions Shortlisted candidates must attend offline or online counseling sessions for document verification and seat allocation.
• Fee Deposit & Admission Confirmation : Allocated candidates must pay the requisite fee within the stipulated timeframe to finalize their admission.
