  • Scientific Assistant / Lab Assistant (Biology) : B.Sc. in Biology with Forensic Science with specialization in Biotechnology /Biochemistry /Genetic Science /Cell Biology /Microbiology.
  • Scientific Assistant / Lab Assistant (Physics) : B.Sc. in Physics with Forensic Science with specialization in Nuclear Science/ Instrumental Electronics OR B.Tech. in Instrumental Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Civil and Mechanical Engineering.
  • Scientific Assistant / Lab Assistant (Chemistry) : B.Sc. in Chemistry with Forensic Science with specialization in Biochemistry.

How to Apply? 

  • Visit Official Website : Navigate to the official UPSSSC portal at upsssc.gov.in to access the online application system.

  • Applicant Login Through PET Registration Number : Authenticate your profile by logging in using your PET-2025 registration number and the OTP sent to your registered mobile number or email.

  • Select Post and Fill Academic Details : Choose the relevant post(s) you wish to apply for, provide your educational qualification status by selecting Yes/No, and enter the required board, passing year, certificate/roll number, and marks details.

  • Verify and Submit Initial Form : Enter the verification code shown on the registration page and click Submit to generate your 11-digit registration number and print a copy for your records.

  • Complete Preferences and Declaration : Provide your post preferences and optional qualifications under other details, review the declaration checkboxes, enter the verification code, and click Save and Submit.

  • Pay Examination Fee: Submit the required application/processing fee through Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or SBI e-Challan.  

  • Reconcile Transaction if Needed : If the fee payment is successful but the application form does not auto-submit, use the "Update Your Transaction ID by Double Verification" option on the homepage using your registration number.

  • Print Final Application Form : Download and print your final submitted application form after successful fee payment and reconciliation for future document verification

Selection Process

  • Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025) : Candidates must have appeared in PET-2025 and possess a valid score card to apply for the mains examination.

  • Shortlisting of Candidates : Candidates are shortlisted for the main examination based on their normalized score in PET-2025.

  • Written Examination : The selection is based on a written objective-type competitive examination carrying 100 questions for 100 marks with a duration of two hours.

  • Document Verification and Final Selection : Final selection and post allotment are determined by performance in the written examination, fulfillment of required qualifications, and document verification.
